General Billy Mitchell "The Father of U.S. Air Force"

This project was proposed to me by the board members of the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles.
A project with U.S. Air Force, which involved a lot of research, precision and dedication.
It's 21"x 30" acrylic painting. General Billy Mitchell and his Bombers (B-25) soaring in the sky.
Finally it's complete, and got approved by the art directors.
Shipped the original to Pentagon this morning. In October, it will be in Dayton, Ohio at the Air Force Gala Art Show.
They are going to fly me out there as well, so Ohio here I come!

Sensibility

Latest acrylic painting.
21" x 30"
Concentrating on spot color control, and visually creating sensual image.

Currently working on a very specific project for the U.S. Air Force, assigned from the Society of Illustrators.
I will keep you guys updated!

Very special thanks to my loyal photographer Gor Atanian. Without his precise photography methods all of my traditional works wouldn't look as good as they are now.

P L A T

1. PLAT (platform) my largest digital painting so far. No reference was used and no photograph layouts. This was just straight painted in photoshop. It's 14346 x 6600 pixels (47.82" x 22" in 300 dpi) God knows how many hours I have spent on this. This is the tinny version of the actual size. Can't wait to see the printed version.

2. Something to keep my hand busy while watching TV... (birds eye view shot with two tinny people stuck somewhere in there)
